Journalists are in the forefront seeking declaration of Assets by one and all. Cops, Judges, politicians all are supposed to declare assets but has any journalist done so in public domain? Charity surely doesn't begin at home for journalists.
So, today, I Jupinderjit Singh s/o S Gurmukh Singh posted as Principal Correspondent, The Tribune, Jammu and heading the Jammu Bureau hereby become (probably) the first journalist to post movable and immovable assets I own on September -10 , 2010:
1. 50 per cent share in ancestral property worth rs 50 lakh in Dashmesh Nagar, Patiala.
2. joint ownership with my wife of a flat bought and renovated for rs 25 lakh in Sant Ishar Singh Nagar, pink flats, Ludhiana. Flat bought, renovated by taking loan of rs 15 lakh from Allahabad bank, and my PF account with The Tribune Trust.
3. NO Fixed Deposit account.

I appreciate the step taken by you. but in my opinion the question is not how much assets a common man has ? the question is how much assets the bureaucrats, politicians and other policy makers have ? In my opinion the policy of government to declare assets is only an eye wash, bcoz what happened after politicians, bureaucrats delcared their illegal assets, when issue was in limelight a case was filed againt the erring person. But after some time everthing become normal and the same corrupt man continue to increase their assets.
Bhai Jann only honest log hi apni asset declare karte hain not the dishonest.
