BY ALPNA SAINI
A sea of loneliness confronts
I dare not plunge into
I stand ashore and stare
Unsure of myself and
Of your affection
I hardly know where to.
The sea is eager to devour me
Waves up and up and up
Higher and higher
I gather my thousand thoughts
And wrap myself against these waves
But what can mere thoughts do?
The rough, rude sea roars
He wants to conquer me
I feel the saline water
Biting the corners of my eyes
And then I suddenly know
That the battle is through.

great piece
sea evokes fear. It is vast, rowdy and strong. Loneliness, too, seems the same and powerful to engulf a mortal human. Like the sea, loneliness too seems endless.......but then only the brave swim across it...and many a great writers have emerged from the sea of melancholy
jupinder
