divine love

divine love
You were the last ray of hope
but, when you were at full glow
I, of ignorance, closed my eyes

and blocked the divine light of love.

Smithereens

As I see, lying on the floor,
the smithereens of my heart,

I see you, going away.
And my body and soul fall apart.

Wow! Your smithereens has reminded me of Vepa Rao's lines--
I am a fluttering piece of of onion,
in the frying pan of your love.

Now I remember it more clearly--
In your non-stick frying pan,
I, a fluttering piece of onion.
Pealed, once, with affection.

More--
It's cold, here,
in the dust-bin
of affairs.

Could you not
put me
in a cover?

Spending years
on being special
is my only crime
against myself.
