review your decision..acceptance of ausi honour would quell racist attacks

Dear and highly respected Amitabh Bachchan,

Your move to turn down the Honour announced for you by the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane needs serious rethinking…

At a time when Indians, many of who are my friends and I am deeply concerned at their fate in Australia, are under attack Down Under, an Australian University chose you for the honour.

What a befitting reply to the racist hooligans it would have been if you had received the honour. The Indians in Australia would have walked with their head held high, boasting how big an Indian was for an Australian University. I am sure, you would have made such an eloquent and impressive speech, quoting from the eternal lyrics of your poet father, to educate the Australian on how Indians treat guests.

The culture and tradition of "Atithi devo Bhava" has been given to the world by Indians. Has anyone ever heard Indians attacking guest students in their country.??

Hope you will give a thougt to this.
